Childish Gambino's "New World To

Image
Childish Gambino's was a show that I enjoyed much more than I expected. Going in, I only knew his classic songs such as "Me and Your Mama," "Redbone," and "3005." Because of this, I was very nervous when a venue employee came up to my group in the nosebleeds and asked us if we would like to be upgraded. We were then taken to the lower bowl and were in total shock.  Despite not knowing most of the songs on his new album, Childish Gambino put on an incredible show that utilized eye-catching visuals and so much energy from the crowd. ©  2024, Hailey Jimenez

Olivia Rodrigo put on a vibrant and energetic show during her GUTS World Tour Miami performance. With eye-catching visuals and amazing backup dancers, Rodrigo lit up the Kaseya Center with so much emotion. Rodrigo sang some of her most popular songs, such as "Drivers License" and "Good 4 U," as well as some of the hits from her newer album like "Vampire" and "Get Him Back." She also sang her hit song featured in the newest Hunger Games film, "Can't Catch Me Now," which took fans by surprise since this song was not on the original set list. Overall, Rodrigo put on an amazing show and made it incredibly clear why her music has gained so much popularity in recent years. ©  2024, Hailey Jimenez

Noah Kahan's "Stick Season Tour"

Noah Kahan's Stick Season Tour was one of my most anticipated shows of 2023. After waiting for months, finally, October came, and we made the drive to Tampa. This show was extra special for me because I was able to experience it with my dad. Watching the artist that we both love so much together made this a night I will never forget. To begin with the venue, this was one of the nicer amphitheaters I've been to. Usually, because the concerts are outside, the venues can get very hot, especially since in Florida. The Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheater had many fans that helped us cool off during the show. This venue was also in a very central location, which made it so much easier for us to commute to and from it, since the hotel we stayed at was only across the street. Noah Kahan put on an incredible show and sang a variety of his most popular songs, and those on his less popular albums. In honor of World Mental Health Day, Kahan even sang an emotional unreleased song. Overall...

Hozier's "The Unreal Unearth Tour"

Image
Hozier's Unreal Unearth Tour was an emotional and inspirational show that showcased some of his best work. There were no flashy performances or outfit changes, the concert focused on the artist's voice and music. With Hozier's buttery natural voice blending in with his backup singers and instrumental performances.  After performing the iconic song titled "Eat Your Young," Hozier was able to set an incredibly powerful tone for the rest of the show. While Hozier sang many songs from his new album, "Unreal Unearth," he also performed many fan favorite oldies such as "Take me to Church," and "Cherry Wine."  Overall, Hozier had a very memorable and exciting show planned and put it on without a hitch. ©  2024, Hailey Jimenez

Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour"

Taylor Swift's Miami Night 1 was one that I will never forget. After anticipating this concert for over a year, the day finally came, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. Following Gracie Abrams' emotional opening performance, Swift began her three-hour long set. From the moment Taylor stepped on the stage, the stadium absolutely erupted. Swift took her audience on a voyage of her incredible discography, singing hits from almost every one of her albums. Her incredible visuals and performances completely tied the show together.  As for Night 1’s surprise songs, Taylor sang a guitar mashup of “Tim McGraw” and “Timeless” and “This is me Trying” and “Daylight” on the piano. Another big surprise was the appearance of Florence and the Machine for their duet of “Florida!!!” Overall, Miami Night 1 gave unforgettable performances that set an incredibly high bar for the remaining shows on the tour. ©  2024, Hailey Jimenez
